The tree is plain JSON: a list of people and a list of unions (one or two partners and their children). Export it to keep a copy, or import a file of the same shape.

Photos, exact dates, where people live, links and notes are only shown to family. Enter the family password to see them on this device.
Dates can be AD or BS (Bikram Sambat): a year, year-month or full date. Years after this year, and dates in Devanagari digits, are read as BS; add “BS” or “AD” to be explicit. Full BS dates are converted to AD.
The words shown in “How are they related?”. Grey text is the built-in word; type to replace it for this family, clear a box to go back. Newari words start the same for every city — fill in the Bhaktapur, Kathmandu and Lalitpur words where they differ.
Pick a palette for light mode and one for dark mode. The choice is kept on this device only; everyone else sees Stone & Teal in light mode and Archive Sepia in dark mode. Picking one switches the page to that mode so you can see it.
